Trauma & How I Listen
As your therapist, I don’t make false promises that life will get better or that you will be freed from suffering after a certain number of sessions. Neither you nor I know what the future holds. Trauma work is dense and complicated, but we start slow. We begin with establishing safety and building trust. And we return here over and over again as often as needed.
Relationship is the heart of my work as a therapist. I embody a rigorous ethics of care and show up with consistency, as authentic and relatable. I listen for the unspeakable, the parts of you waiting to speak or unable to speak. Together, we will work to loosen the grip of the past, make space for you to rediscover the grit and brilliance of your survival, and discover space for more of you in the present. I am deeply moved by those who risk trusting me in this work.
